Are the Dems either so brain dead or hysterical that they cannot see that the truth always comes out? The more they try to get Trump, the more their own sleaze is exposed.
Amid talk of the Trump whistleblower having ties to a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, it’s now being reported that candidate is former Vice President Joe Biden himself — Biden being at the center of the controversy.
It had previously been reported that the whistleblower was a CIA official and had worked at the White House as part of the National Security Council — his legal team did acknowledge that he worked in the executive office.
Michael Atkinson, the Intelligence Community’s inspector general, told Congress in August that the whistleblower had a “professional tie” to a Democratic candidate and showed “some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate.”
Many in the media tried to minimize suggestions of “bias” over reports that the CIA official was a registered Democrat, but the Washington Examiner reported Thursday that the candidate was Biden and detailed the extent of the connection.
Citing intelligence officers and former White House officials, the paper reported: “it is probable that the whistleblower briefed Biden and likely that he accompanied him on Air Force Two during at least one of the six visits the 2020 candidate made to the country.”
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a former Trump administration official told the Examiner that in his foreign affairs work, the former vice president crossed paths with the whistleblower either at the CIA or when he was detailed to the White House.
“This person, after working with Biden, may feel defensive towards him because he feels [Biden] is being falsely attacked. Maybe he is even talking to Biden’s staff,” the former official said. “Maybe it is innocent, maybe not.”
Biden was former President Barack Obama’s point person on Ukraine.
Mark Zaid, one of the lawyers for the whistleblower, dismissed the concerns raised by Atkinson, insisting in a carefully worded tweet their client was not motivated by political considerations — this coming after a Trump tweet.
“First, our client has never worked for or advised a political candidate, campaign, or party,” Zaid tweeted. “Second, our client has spent their entire government career in apolitical, civil servant positions in the Executive Branch.”

As the Examiner noted, President Trump commented Wednesday on the connection to a Democratic candidate — this coming before the report Biden was the candidate.
“The Whistleblower’s facts have been so incorrect about my ‘no pressure’ conversation with the Ukrainian President, and now the conflict of interest and involvement with a Democrat Candidate, that he or she should be exposed and questioned properly. This is no Whistleblower,” Trump said in a pair of tweets. “The Whistleblower’s lawyer is a big Democrat. The Whistleblower has ties to one of my DEMOCRAT OPPONENTS. Why does the ICIG allow this scam to continue?”

With the whistleblower’s potential bias drawing attention, the anti-Trump media is now pushing the credibility of the information provided to downplay any questions of motivation.
This being just one of several concerns about the whistleblower’s complaint.
First and foremost being the CIA official conferred with the staff of House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff before filing the complaint on President Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president. (emphasis mine)
A second issue is that the whistleblower reportedly did not have firsthand knowledge of the call and that just before the complaint was filed, the intelligence community had quietly eliminated a standing requirement of direct, first-hand knowledge of alleged wrongdoings.
Another issue is the complaint itself, and how it was written — this concern being raised before it was learned that the whistleblower turned to Schiff’s committee for guidance.
A veteran CIA official, Fred Fleitz, said the complaint appeared to have been written by left-wing lawyers or Congressional staffers, not a CIA officer, adding it looks as if the “so-called whistleblower was pursuing a political agenda.”
“My suspicions grew this morning when I saw the declassified whistleblowing complaint,” Fleitz wrote in a piece ran in the New York Post. “It appears to be written by a law professor and includes legal references and detailed footnotes. It also has an unusual legalistic reference on how this complaint should be classified.
“From my experience, such an extremely polished whistleblowing complaint is unheard of. This document looks as if this leaker had outside help, possibly from congressional members or staff.”
One could say the whole sordid affair is beginning to stink to the high heavens — not that the anti-Trump media obsessed with impeaching the president will ever report on that.
